ABOUT THE ARTIST
Cole Adams (formerly Nicole Karwhite) work can be defined as a playful view of nature. Cole works in a loose juicy style. Her mediums are watercolor, acrylic, stained glass, jewelry, mosaic and furniture.

Cole describes herself as a rehabilitating public relations person. She combines her skills in public releations and creative skills to develop a “Creative Resourcing” company in Woo Hoo Creative. Balancing corporate, graphic and creative skills she develops designs and commissions on time and with an unexpected flair.

She works in layers with juicy, vibrant colors. She uses brushes sparingly opting for pouring paint. Cole uses water and paint and allows for the happy accidents that come with letting the paint do what it wants. She uses resist (similar to rubber cement) to make crisp lines and texture. She paints with shimmering bright color.

Born in Seattle, the Puget Sound and Cascade mountain range are part of Cole’s inspiration. Her mother kept a vibrant and wandering garden in her youth, “Mom inspired my love of beautiful flowers.” Cole loves the transitions of the seasons and often works from images in her garden or flowers her husband brings home.

Cole’s family traveled extensively and she often kept a travel journal as a child and continues this tradition on her trips now. She takes a broad-range of travel photos and loves to collect local images. Cole is inspired by many cultures and the interconnection of people and the places they live.

Cole also enjoys motivational speaking, public relations, and marketing. In an earlier career she marketed health care and recreation to local communities. In 2005, she started Woo Hoo Creative to live a more creative life and inspire others. She hopes her paintings are viewed in the same way she lives life – with verve, joy, passion, hope, happiness and love.

STUDIO
Cole Adams studio is in her home. She has a painting studio that overlooks the beautiful Lake Wilderness Golf Course. She loves natural light and shares her studio with a somewhat possessive cat, Essy.
Her glass studio is under the house, on those wonderful sunny days in Seattle she works outside.

COLE ADVICE ~ Organize as much as possible. Look for inventive flat storage solutions, I use a pair of old closet doors separated by 2X4’s.

YOU MADE IT HAPPEN
The “you” I am referring to here is actually MANY. This is a little indulgence for the artist to thank the wonderful people who believed in her before she did.

First and foremost to the great creator, “Remember in all the worlds history and future – you are completely unique, a great creator had to have everything to do with that,” said by a friend of mine, Doug Tooke.

The support of my life, Steve, my husband, passionate inspiration, true love, my worth waiting for and my biggest fan. ILY ~ Mo!

My family ~ unconditional love, utter support and complete faith. Thank you for your advice, love and openness in growing me. Your warmth to everyone and acceptance of all people taught me wonderful tolerance and love. And of course Mat Cutting Experts!

Thank you to my long-time teacher Tis with Watercolors, Etc., she teaches out of Federal Way and is a great teacher. Her number is 253-839-5623.

Friends who have helped create an inspiring group of original, engaged and active lives, IONBC forever! My friends have taught me to follow crazy ideas and make them reality ~

Jump off docks naked… people will jump with you.
Create wacky weekends of fun… laughter will follow.
Join book clubs that challenge you…the ladies will support you.
